Day 03 – Your parents

What can I say about my parents? Hmmm...

Every struggling artist likes to blame his or her parents. My life growing up was really... normal. I didn't get along with my parents super well when living at home, but I think that's more the case than not with most people. My relationship with them now is quite good.

Thinking back, I think they really just tried to stay out of the way of me and my interests most of the time. Between my sophomore and senior years, I can't remember a weeknight where I wasn't out doing something with a group, orchestra, or something. Most of the time, they were the ride to and from (for my own reasons - I never applied for my DL until my senior year). I think at the time, I was jealous of the siblings - they seemed to get more attention. Now I realize that it was because I was fairly self-sufficient.
