So Liv and I were walking back to our car after the Lake Dallas fireworks last night (which were wonderful, and we enjoyed), and as we were walking we saw a car that had obviously been scraped on the bumper by the truck pulling out behind it. The bumper had a 6 by 4 inch scratched fairly severely, but the bumper itself wasn't caved in or anything. Well, the driver of the truck pulled away after he scraped the car (which makes him a douche to be sure); the owner of the car saw this - and instead of getting the license plate, he chases down the truck, screaming at him. Well, the truck just drove off. So, of course he calls the cops, right? Nope. He jumps in his car, cuts off the long line of cars behind him, and barrels down the wrong side of the road at a fairly high rate of speed (did I mention that both sides of the road were fairly covered with pedestrians getting back to their own cars?). We don't know if he caught the truck or not - but he proved to be as big of a douche as the other driver.
Lesson of the day: Yes, it REALLY sucks when someone wings your car. However, endangering the lives of others is equally as bad. Next time, get the plate number and call the cops. Then, they'll still pay for your new bumper and you won't kill anyone.
